15 Days Tour North _ South from Tangier

On the second day of our tour, after a delicious breakfast, we will explore Tangier “the Bride of the North”. This modern city is the most perfect destination for ultimate relaxation and plenty of fun. Where we will discover many places with our professional driver guide such as, Cape Spartel or the lighthouse where the Atlantic meet the Mediterranean coasts on incredible landscapes, nearby, we will as well explore the famous caves of Hercules where the Greek God of Strength rest from the ultimate 12th labours. Moreover, we will take you to visit the Kasbah Museum, Bab Ha-ha and the walls of the medina for its spiritual splendour. Its captivating Arabic, Andalusian and European mixed architecture really mesmerized the sight. We will make our best to show you the most major monuments and parts of the bride of the north, dinner and overnight in the same Hotel / or Riad. 

After breakfast, 15 Days Morocco tour north continue: we will travel to Chefchaouen through Tetouan City and passing by the high Rif Mountains. On this tour we will take a few breaks in magic of the nature, to enjoy the views of the magnificent Mountains and take pictures. We will have free time for a delicious lunch. Then, in the afternoon we will arrive at our destination the bleu city (Chefchaouen), dinner and overnight will be in a hotel / or Riad in the blue alleys of the medina. 

After breakfast, you will explore Chefchaouen or Chaouen called “the blue Pearl”, it is a very special and traditional Moroccan town surrounded by the Rif Mountains, in northwest, Morocco. It is Famous for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue of its old town, which feels like a clean and elegant world. It has come to be known as such due to a distinctive blue colour all the inhabitant uses to paint their houses. These traditions and beliefs that the colour blue represent the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This colour covering the city gives it an amazing charm as well as a sense and an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace. 

You will start your Chefchaouen sightseeing by walking around the blue streets, enjoying the beautiful blue walls, doors, windows & amazing side shops of the old Medina with a lot of amazing picture chance around every corner. You will have break time to taste the delicious Moroccan dishes of the north. In the evening visit the ancient Kasbah Ali Ben Rachid and Plaza Uta El-Hammam. Our lovely day ends in the same Riad / or Hotel in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen. 

After breakfast, we will start our Journey towards Volubilis via many Rif’s village such as Ouazane & several others stunning Rif’s villages. First stop in Volubilis is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. We will explore and learn about this archaeological site of Moroccan history that offers an impressive display of columns, abandoned buildings and beautiful mosaics dating back to 3rd century BC. 

After the visit of the ruins, we will continue our road to Meknes, the Ismaili capital & one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco, where we will stop for lunch, then start exploring interesting places of the city such as: the fascinating Bab Mansour Gate built by the Sultan Moulay Ismail, discover the tranquil courtyards of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and Sahrij Swani used for irrigation and plantation. Strolling around the ancient Meknes medina and soak up the charming hubbub of El Hedim Square. In the afternoon we head to Fes to relax, dinner and overnight in a traditional Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the medina. 

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments Such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colourful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. The famous Chaouwara Tanneries the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. The Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world, while non-Muslims cannot enter but you can admire the mosque courtyard from the gates. The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bounania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges. 

You will have time for lunch in Moroccan local restaurant. After you will discover Bab Boujloud archway is that its mosaics change colour from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred colour of Islam. Stroll around streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place to have an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina. 

After breakfast, we leave Fes and drive though the magical Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane city which known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, then we continue our road to Midelt, the famous town of apples where we will have lunch, but before we will see the monkeys in cedar forest nearby Azrou. Later in the afternoon we’ll drive to Sahara Desert towards Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing by incredible Berber villages, and stop in the wonderful views of Ziz Valley, after that we will connect with the amazing land of sand dunes (Erg-Chebbi) of Merzouga. End of the day, dinner & overnight in a hotel / or Riad. 

After breakfast, we will start our journey around Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will explore many interesting places of the area such as: Merzouga Lake (not always full of water) to see the kinds of birds (ducks & flamingos) that coming to live in this lake especially in spring time. We will visit khamliya village where you will listen African music (Gnawa) played by the people originally from the black Africa, then we will continue our off-road desert tour to the black desert behind Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will visit an abandoned village where the working mineral fossils, then drive to visit a nomadic Berber family to see them way of life. 

We’ll back to khamliya to have a delicious lunch in Local restaurant. In the afternoon you will start Camel Trekking Adventure, across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. Spend the great moments in amazing place where you can feed your soul and enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars. 

In morning of the next day, is better to wake up early for lovely sunrise, after breakfast & shower return by camel ride / or vehicle to Merzouga village departure to Rissani town. We will walk around the famous, traditional and biggest Market of the area exploring the local-made goods and art crafts. It’s better to visit Rissani in one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. In these three days is souk, so it’s good days for the people of desert area that want to do shopping. Later we travel to Tinghir along the Tafilalt Oasis where we can stop to see the ancient system of irrigation found there. 

Arriving to Tinjdad town where we will have free time for lunch. Then, continuing to Tinghir to explore the stunning views of Todra valley & walk along Todra Gorge with it orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep, also its a preferred place for the climbers. We will end our day in Boumalne Dades with its green valley, Dinner & overnight in a hotel / or Riad. 

After breakfast, we start our journey via Dades gorges and Dades valley towards Kalaat M’Gonna & Ouarzazate. The way through Dades Valley is the route of the thousand Kasbah providing numerous opportunities to take some best picture. Then, travel along the land of Roses we will stop at Kalaat M’Gonna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater. Continuing via the oasis of Skoura where we will stop to visit the Kasbah of Ameridil. In the afternoon arriving to Ouarzazate where we will stop to admire the architecture of Taourirte Kasbah before check your accommodation. Dinner & overnight will be in a hotel / or Riad in Ouarzazate. 

After breakfast, we will visit world renowned cinema studio (Atlas studios) in Ouarzazate. Our trip continues to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia. Later we will drive to Marrakech city along the stunning Ounila valley passing via Berber villages to reach Telouet village where we can visit Telouet Kasbah built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the powerful el Glaoui family; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Adorned in colourful mosaics and red stucco, the Kasbah had a strategic location on the caravan trail. 

Take Break there to have lunch in local restaurant. Then, drive through the Atlas Passes, on the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). We will arrive to Marrakech in the evening, overnight in a hotel / or Riad in the heart of the medina. 

After breakfast, you will start exploring the heart of Marrakech one of the Country’s imperial cities, referred to as the Red city due of its sandstone buildings. With your local guide you will visit the most famous historic sites, museums and colourful souks, or markets of the medina including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the Jardin Majorelle a botanical garden that blends art deco and Moorish features. 

You will have time for lunch. Then, continuing your sightseeing of Marrakech by walking around the focal point of the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, the main square, enjoying the theatre of the streets buzzing with snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and magicians. In the evening you will have free time to enjoy the sunset overlooking the exciting Djemaa El-Fna Square from a restaurant terrace enjoy your dinner, accommodation in the same hotel /or Riad. 

After breakfast, we will depart to Casablanca the largest and economic city in Morocco to see the most important sights of the city, including the mosque of Hassan II the largest mosque in Africa. Then, continuing to Rabat, which is the country’s capital and one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. We will discover the best attraction of this city such as the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, Chellah, and Oudaya Kasbah. Overnight will be in a hotel / or Riad in Rabat. 

After breakfast, we will drive to Tangier “the bride of the North” along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. We will stop to explore the beautiful coastal and clean city of Asilah with its Portuguese colonial fortifications. Asilah is known for its annual festival of the art, most walls of the medina are painted by various famous artists from all over the world. We will have free time for lunch. After that we will continue our way to Tangier. Overnight will be in a Hotel / or Riad in Tangier. 

After breakfast, in the Last day of our 15 days Morocco tour north & south from Tangier, transfer to Tangier airport / or Port and end of our services.
