Tour Plan

Arrive at Mohammed V International Airport where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Casablanca. 

Overnight in Casablanca. 

Visit Casablanca, Morocco’s commercial capital and largest city.Visit Mohammed V Square which lays claim to some of the city’s most impressive architecture, the majestic Hassan II Mosque, the Habbous District, the central market, and the residential districts of Anfa and Ain Diab, famous for their gardens, beaches, terrace cafes and restaurants.Continue to Rabat. Enjoy the Mechouar (the ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the majestic Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering fabulous views, as well as being home to Moroccan artisan galleries. 

Overnight in Rabat. 

Depart Rabat for the enchanting mountain village of Chefchaouen, passing through the green valleys of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is famous for its vivid blue rinsed houses and is very popular for both tourists and Moroccans, particularly in the hot summer months. Explore Chefchaouen, with its winding lanes and narrow alleys which are home to numerous souks offering cuisine and artisan works, such as woollen items, intricate embroidery, and goats’ cheese; all native to the North and not found anywhere else in Morocco. Relax in the square, visit a local farm or hike in nearby parks. 

After breakfast, we shall drive to Cascades d’Akchour where we will have short hike. On the way we shall pass by beautiful landscape and villages. you will see the breath-taking waterfalls, rivers and valleys along the hiking trek. Having a picnic lunch in the valley shall be an unforgettable experience to highlight the trip, after that we drive back to the city of Chefchaouen, get some refreshment at your hotel then explore more medina. 

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Volubilis -Meknes -Fes 

 After breakfast our driver will pick you up towards Fes via Roman Ruins and Ancient Empires – Volubilis & Moulay Idriss. Spend time exploring the ancient Roman city of Volubilis with its well-preserved mosaics, palaces, baths and soaring arches it is considered one of Morocco’s most important archaeological sites. After Volubilis, we move on to Moulay Idriss, one of Morocco’s most venerated Muslim sites. It is said that for Moroccan’s who can’t afford the trip to Mecca, then to travel five times in one’s life to Moulay Idriss is of equal merit. The scenic village has lovely souks to explore and a number of panoramic views of Volubilis. 

 After Moulay Idriss we will drive you to Meknes, visiting the medina which is surrounded by a triple thickness of 40km long walls which preserves one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco; the Royal Stables of the Alaouite Sultan Moulay Ismail, and the Jewish Quarter.

Overnight in Fes.

Your cultural and historic tour will take you through the 2000-year-old living medina; a labyrinth of narrow lanes alive with markets and souks, craftsmen, donkeys and mules transporting their loads. Visit the Attarine and Bou Inania Medersas (Islamic universities), the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. Finish your tour with a visit to Fes Jdid, and the revered Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view of Fes. 

Overnight in Fes. 

Depart Fes for Midelt, Watch the landscape change as your journey takes you through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, a well-known ski resort town created in 1929, and Azrou, an important center for Berber artisans. 

Overnight in Midelt. 

We will continue to Merzouga via Erfoud, Rissani and the Ziz valley dotted with palm trees, fortified villages, and Berber farming communities. Arrive in Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara Desert. Here you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check into your accommodation. 

Overnight in hotel in Merzouga. 

After breakfast in the hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people – originally slaves brought from Sudan -to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga (not available always as it can be dry if there is no rain for long time), with its bird populations. You may also visit the souk in Rissani (available in Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday), a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctu in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled. Back to the village of Merzouga for some rest, in the afternoon you will mount your camel trek, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the sand dunes of Merzouga. Overnight will be at the camp, where you will have your dinner. For your convenience, the camp is well equipped.

Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the meeting points where you can meet your driver. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tineghir, stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. We will arrive in Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvellous Canyons views while hiking on foot. Later on, we drive to Boumalne Dades and stopping for a panoramic view of Dades valley. 

Overnight in Dade Gorge. 

Following breakfast in the hotel, depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stopping for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the Atlas Film studios. Visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the afternoon, drive to Marrakech over the mountains of High Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). 

Today you will have a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official guide from Marrakech. You will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic school, the Saadian, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. 

Overnight night in Marrakech. 

Depart mid-morning for the city of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. A welcome respite from the bustle of Marrakech, relax over a freshly caught fish lunch, stroll through the serene squares, browse artisan shops and galleries, and observe the handicrafts of the ’thuya’ wood found only in Morocco. 

Overnight in Essaouira. 

With its relaxed feel, take in the small but bustling medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch. Its expansive golden beach is popular with windsurfers. The port is famous for its amazingly fresh grilled seafood. Strolling through the medina you will find thuya wood carvers and silver crafters working under the old Portuguese ramparts guarding the city from the sea. Essouira has one of the most charming walkable medinas in all of Morocco. Recommended year round, especially in summer when it makes a nice relief from Marrakech heat. 

Overnight in Essaouira. 

After breakfast depart to Safi, a former Portuguese fortress famous for its sardines, pottery and ceramics. Continue, via the picturesque coastal road, to Oualidia, a serene fishing village. 

Enjoy lunch while you gaze out over the tranquil natural seawater lagoon, separated only by a sandbar from the wild waves of the Atlantic. Continue to El Jadida, a former Portuguese colony, and UNESCO World Heritage Site,Continue to Casablanca.
