Former Caravan Road & Glaoui Kasbahs
Overview
Traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m) and stop at multiple beautiful panoramas for pictures.
Leave the main road and take a side road to the Telouet Kasbah, which was once the palatial residence and headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe.
Continue down the Ounila Valley that is full of green fields, running parallel down below a road in sync with the geography of the valley. Surprises at the hues of the rock, soil, gardens, Berber villages, and small Kasbahs.
In Ait benhaddou, you have the choice to have lunch or visit the village first with a local guide (the visit takes about an hour). Around 3 pm we will drive back to Marrakech, drop off at the nearest parking lot to your Riad +/- 7pm.Â

DepartureÂ
Your driver will pick you up at 08:00 a.m. from your hotel or in the closest accessible point for the car and leave the busy city behind and head east toward Ait Ben Haddou.Â

Traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m) and stop at multiple beautiful panoramas for pictures. See if you can spot Mount Toubkal, the highest peak at (4,167 m). Along the way, you will pass many Berber villages—made up of traditional mud-brick buildings.Â

TelouetÂ
Leave the main road and take a side road to the Telouet Kasbah, which was once the palatial residence and headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe. In Telouet you will be introduced to your local guide who will take on a visit of the Kasbah.Â

Ait Ben HaddouÂ
Afterwards we will continue to Ait Ben Haddou along the Ounila Valley also known as salt valle. Once in Ait benhaddou, you have the choice to have lunch or visit the village first with a local guide.Â

Return to MarrakechÂ
Around 3 pm we will drive back to Marrakech, drop off at the nearest parking lot to your Riad +/- 7pm.Â
